RTA-4A Training Certificate, June 1990

Companion page · By Rick Childers · September 2026

In June 1990 I completed a sixty-hour Bendix/King training class on the RTA-4A, the receiver/transmitter of the RDR-4A airline weather radar, early in my 1989–1996 period working on the system. The certificate also shows what Bendix/King called the unit (a "Weather Radar Transceiver") and that its Air Transport Avionics Division was part of Allied-Signal Aerospace at the time.
